I have just the system Norm wishes for. In 7 years, including 2 of full
time cruising, it has preformed flawlessly. No switches to mess with, no
worry about guests or kids setting things wrong, it just works.
Although the combiner is better than a switch or diode, dual alternators is
the real ticket.
