A pure "Gotcha" waiting to happen if you wipe the dip stick directly on
the battery posts since you can now introduce nasty things from the
battery posts back into the oil pan via the dip stick.
OTOH, if you wipe the dip stick with a paper towel, then use the towel to
wipe the terminals, you have a winner, IMHO.
