I sympathize with you. My husband said if I got a sailboat of my
own (not with my son, who lives aboard, which keeps me home alot
more than it would otherwise) that it would be tantamount to
declaring I was leaving him. He just doesn't like the water, and
cannot even imagine why anyone does. Even when he sees me
withering up and sulking from lack of saltwater, fresh air,
nature, etc.
Good luck in trawlerdom -- hope at least that works out for you.
