    There may be equivalents, Rick. Ancor wire is acutally labelled as "Marine"
    quality for whatever specifications that refers to. I think you will find
    that marine wire also has more strands of finer wire, presumably to make it
    more flexible and resistant to vibration. There will also be different
    grades of tinning.

    My main concern in the post was to inform purchasers to avoid generic brands
    that may have poor or no tinning and inferior insulation.
