RE: lv-ab: sander for bottom paint?

Good question Mike. The reason that I am considering removing the botom
paint is that there are SO many layers applied at this point that chunks of
paint are now falling off in dollar bill sized sections.

In truth, I have not yet decided for sure that it needs to come off. It
looks ugly (when hauled) and probably impacts on speed to some small degree,
but still seems to be keeping the bottom growth free.

This spring I tried sanding the peeled off sections and it was really tough
going even with 80 grit and a palm sander. I guess the first decision is
"should I strip it all off or not" and that decision will be made easier if
I find an easy and cost effective way to do so.

    Input is always welcome.

    Jeff
