lv-ab: Galvanic current

    Norm,
In saltwater you would have to pass a heck of a LOT of
current through the water to set up a voltage gradient large
enough to be noticeable to a human being. Sharks are another
    matter...
Isolation transformers, properly installed would remove any
problems with shorepower related galvanic corrosion but they
    cost too much for me.
I PROMISE you the possible error in voltage readings
caused by not using platinum as a meter probe is miniscule.
