I wonder if anyone on this list can help me find a liveaboard sailboat
which is seriously for sale by a motivated owner....
I lost my home on Fort Myers Beach to tropical storm Gabrielle a couple of
weeks ago. I also lost most of my personal effects. I need a new place
to live within about the next 4 weeks, and I am hoping to use this as an
opportunity to return to my former (and greatly missed) liveaboard
lifestyle.
I need to buy a boat as soon as possible, and move it to southwest
Florida. Heres' what I'm looking for: -
Sailboat with auxiliary diesel power - or possibly motorsailer
The bigger, the better - at least 35' LOA
Steel (preferred) or FRP - no wood or ferrocement
Sound and seaworthy - but "TLC needed" is fine
No Hunters, Irwins, or other flimsy toys
Custom or "one-off" boats are fine
Located anywhere on Gulf coast, or Florida east coast, or perhaps GA or SC
I will pay cash on the barrelhead within one week of my offer being
accepted.
Any offer made will be unconditional. I rely on my own inspection, and
require no survey. I will buy "as is, where is". I will pay up to the
mid $K30's for the right boat.
