We made part of the trip you’re talking about 2 years ago. We bought
Meridian in Sandusky, OH and moved her to Sarnia, ON. If I were you I would
consider the Trent Severn waterway between Lake Ontario and the Georgian Bay
in Lake Huron. By eliminating Lake Erie, the Detroit River, Lake St. Claire
and the St. Claire River, the only thing you’ll miss is a lot of ship
    traffic.

    Thanks,
    Tom Rogers

We are going to be picking up our new boat in late April 2002 in Annapolis
and will be bringing the boat into Lake Michigan. I would be interested in
talking with anyone who has made a similar trip. At this point we are
planning to leave Chesapeake Bay and head for New York City and the Hudson
River. From there take the Eric Canal into the Great Lakes. Would enjoy
taking with people who have made this trip during our planning. If you
    prefer back channel to Thanks
