I have to give a hand to my lovely wife, who, during our trip from Ft.
Lauderdale to St. Thomas, in 1994, cooked hot meals for us every day without
fail, even though we were in 30 ft seas for 6 straight days. God bless her.
Her meals not only tasted great but looked good too, unlike some passages I
have heard of where meals are served in dog dishes because the dish is easy
to hold, and will not easily tip over.

My captain, Rob Jackson, cooked some beautiful meals on our passage to
Bermuda. Granted it is not the Southern Ocean but my shallow draft Catalina
30 rolls quite a bit in a 5 to 7 ft quartering sea. We fitted a Galley strap
in front of the Seaward Hillerange Gimballed unit. The strap was essential.
cheers
Robb
