I helped a guy build a custom fuel tank for a BABA.
We made a work surface from a sheet of plywood covered with plastic sheeting
and then layed up the panels with thick roving and matting for bulk.
We then cut out the shapes and taped them together and then applied a
thickened fillet of epoxy in all the interior corners. Then we taped them
with glass and finished with a final fuel proof epoxy coat inside.
The top had a 6" beckson hatch which we worked through.
Thge panels were layed up with poly resin but glued together and coated with
    epoxy.
