    Use Galvanized shackles with galvanized chain. If you had a stainless anchor
    and chain, then you would use stainless shackles.

    The aluminum anchors are anodized. Are there stainless screws holding parts
    of it together? You might try bedding the stainless screws in caulk to cut
    down on the corrosion between the aluminum and stainless. If you can find
    them, I would replace the stainless screws with galvanized, or just use
    plain steel screws and spray them with cold galvanizing compound.

    Incidentally, every anchor I ever purchased, I first spray them down with
    cold galvanizing compound. This seals the surface off, then when the hot
    galvanizing starts to show through, I simply re-spray the anchor. My anchors
    have always looked great that way.

    I happen to have an anodized aluminum traveler that is 14 years old. There
    are stainless screws in the screw holes. HOWEVER, the holes are anodized so
    there was no corrosion on the screws and they were easy to remove. They were
    never immersed in salt water though.
