I know Skipper Bob, but I don't know Capt. Dick. Skipper Bob does have a
trawler, and takes info from other travelers. He indicates the approach
depths and also who has recommended anchorages and has the length and draft
of their boats so that you can judge whether or not the anchorage is
suitable for you. I would only use it in conjunction with a chart however.
The current list of contributors has one steel ketch with a 7' draft and
also one with 6', but most are much less draft.
They do have some anchorages off Bucksport.

I use the ICW Guide mostly to see what the approach and dockside depths are
for marinas and for phone numbers etc. This guide is sometimes out of date
- even the most current one. For instance the Barefoot Landing bridge
wasn't in the 2000 edition of the Guide even though it had been there for 2
years.
