    I have had propane tanks inside my boat, under the aft section ladder, for
    twenty years. A few years ago I added one for the dryer in the laundry room,
    and one in Jan's shop for her jewelry torch.

    I have never had a leak since day one.

    The advantage is that the gear is protected from the weather.

    Millions of boats deal with gasoline stowed safely below decks and my
    experience shows that propane can be dealt with safely too.
