    =not large enough to allow the use of a shackle of the same strength. The
    =best solution I've heard of is to have oversized links welded onto
    =the ends
    =of your chain so that you can use a big enough galvanized shackle.

    If you custom order your chain from the manufacturer, you can get oversized
    links on either end. Usually, there's no extra charge. It will be delivered
    to your door in a barrel by motor freight.
