    Hi All,
I just returned to my boat after removing about 400 gallons
of seawater from another boat here at Oyster cove. That is
maybe half the water in the bilge. When I started the swim
platform at the stern was about 1 inch above the water, now
it's about 7 inches. The electric bilge pumps don't seem to
work. Using 5 gallon buckets I filled one, lifted it to deck
level, filled the next then climbed out of the engine room
to lift and pour over the stern. This is a 36 foot
powerboat, one of those that look like they are moving even
when they are tied to the dock. While bailing I thought I
saw some turbulence around the through hull for the genset
and closed it. I will check the boat at sundown to see if it
settles any. If not I will probably resume bailing tomorrow.
