    At sea, any light, however dim, draws the eye. The real problem is having
    someone aboard the other vessel who is awake, alert, and at their duty
    station to see your light.

    You'd better off to equip with standard lights and then investing the
    difference in the CARD radar detector system to alert you to the other
    traffic.
