Hi--
I have a Statpower Pro Sine 1000 watt true sine wave inverter and have a
question regarding installation. For my purposes it is easier to route the
shore power input line direct to my circuit breaker panel rather than to the
inverter itself as specified in the inverter instruction manual. On the
circuit board there are two separate circuits one for shore power and one
for the inverter (two breakers apiece). There is a lock out slide that
prevents both being switched on at once thereby eliminating flow of power
from shore into the inverter power output line in, as I see it, all but one
case. In the eventuality to which I refer the output from shore normally
associated with ground would not in fact be ground but live or neutral and
in this instance since the ground at the circuit board on the boat is common
juice could therefore flow into the ground output of the inverter. Anyone
care to speculate if this would pose a problem or if there might be other
problems I'm overlooking?
Thanks again,
Ari
