I have followed the past discussions of the problems folks have had dealing
with Foley. But to be fair, I bought my replacement Perkins 4-108M from
Foley in 1990 and had no problems with the company or with Jay Foley
himself. I met him when I returned my old engine to the company in
Worcester and he was pleasent enough. I have not dealt with Foley since
that time and don't at all dispute the experience of others. And I
certainly agree that you don't do business with people who treat you badly;
there are too many customer-friendly companies whose behavior and service
should be rewarded.
