Be aware that while Nylon is very strong, it is also very stretchy - 30%
before it breaks - which is why it is not used to tie up ships. When it
first came out it was tried but when it parted it would splatter sailors and
actually cut steel (they use polypro now). So if you lash something with it
it will stretch out under load.
Makes great anchor rode though.
