My definition of the major network offerings during so called prime time
is:
"Designed for and executed by congenital idiots".
Listening to laugh tracks from mid 30's radio programs, just because they
are public domain, is a real turn off.
I absolutely refuse to waste time with any sitcom that uses these laugh
tracks.
The news programs are becoming poor attempts at entertainment with less
and less real news content as the years go by.
PBS spends an ever increasing amount of it's time begging.
Yes, there are some good products on TV, but not enough to get me to put
a TV on a boat.
Cable? Doesn't do much for me, at least enough to justify the cost.
Having grown up with radio, where you are allowed to let your imagination
wander, I find that TV, a medium with such great opportunities, seems to
let most of them fall thru their fingers.
Just my $0.02.
