Just about everyone in my marina does it that way. As a liveaboard, I can't
imagine opening hatches, pulling up floor boards and moving armfulls of
stored goods to open all the seacocks every time I get on or off the boat.
ON THE OTHER HAND - I did see one of the other boats tied to the dock in the
shallow water with all his cushions, carpets and bedding laid out in the
sun. He said a hose busted (I'm not sure exactly how) and he caught it
"just in time".
Like you said, make sure that everything looks tight, know where all the
inlets are so you can check them quickly if you do have a problem, and hope
for the best.
