Thanks for the response Arild - it's nice to have our own product expert for
what must sometimes seem as incessant and nagging questions..
Regarding your solution:
>On any model built after 1994 all you have to do is turn the "INV" switch
>on either the case or remote panel to OFF.
>This disables the auto turn-on function.
I guess I'm still a little confused. I don't want to be running all my AC
form my batteries the majority of the time.
There are two typical use scenarios on my boat.
1. Inverter off, charger off, sitting at the dock. Running all AC right
from the shore power cord.
In this case, I don't want the inverter to switch on without me doing so.
2. Inverter off, charger on, sitting at the dock. In this case, I want all
the AC running direct from shore power. I also want the charger running my
12V fridge from the AC power, so that I don't keep continually cycling my
batteries.
In this case, I don't care is the inverter kicks on or off when the AC power
cycles - I'm running the fridge off DC anyway.
From the manual, it doesn't look like scenario 1 is possible.
The only way your solution helps me is if the inverter is bypassed in
inverting mode when the AC shore power is applied - is this the case? The
manual certainly doesn't indicate so.
Best Regards, and thanks for your help,
Brent
