I bought em when I had a full tank full
of crud in my diesel tank last year. I found
they were listed by Yanmar as an approved product.
I could not filter and solve my problems until
I later put in a full "fuel scrubbing" system into
my sailboat with the fuel pump and Algae-x
unit I bought from the Algae X folks, together
with an extra Racor filter. The junk did not
plug my Racor after I started using the
additive and the Algae-X. I don't know how
it fixed everything, but everthing is great
now. I have had no further problems and my
engine starts immediately on the first
crank. I have a five year old Yanmar 3 GM 30,
that had to crank a few seconds when I first
bought if it was cold, and now it doesnt
and I do not have smoke which I did before.
thats my experience. I now run the scrubber
and AlgaeX periodically when I am sailing.
