    Both of Jan's hard drives failed at almost the same time. One of them rattles
    when you shake it. Virtually (pun intended) all her data was saved on CD-Rs.
     We bought a new 40 gig on sale for $99.

    Same thing happened to Jan. Thief smashed driver's side door window on her
    1981 240D, took one good look at her el cheapo aftermarket radio and left in
    disgust. Insurance paid for it. Now if we could just get them to smash her
    (cracked and leaking) windshield...
