I found one of the handiest things in my toolbox to be a 4 foot length of
1/16th inch sstl cable. Whenever I have a drain problem, I chuck one end in
the ol' drill, and unlay an inch or two (depending on drain hole size) of
the other end. spin up the drill and feed the cable through until it sees
water or daylight. You will be able to feel the obstructions, and
concentrate on them. When drain is free, pipe is clean, 1-2minutes max. You
can relay the braid, and put the cable away until next time.
