One more question now that I am on a roll.
Seems that I have a partially blocked AC drain. A recent comment on
this list indicated the smell and potentially destructive nature of
the deionized water that results from the AC process. It seems that
I am experiencing exactly that. I have been successful in clearing
the blockage (at least partially) and I seem to get good flow for a
couple of days but then the flow stops again. It is easy to clear by
blowing through the hose but this must be accomplished every few
days. Can anyone recommend a cleaner that may help with this
situation? Bleach was recommended but I am a bit nervous because I
was told that bleach would etch stainless steel and aluminum and I
have also used ammonia and ammonia based cleaners in and around that
area and don't know if I have a hazardous condition with the mix of
ammonia and the chlorine from the bleach. I am sure the ammonia has
dissipated by now but the use of bleach has never been a favorite of
mine. Again, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam
