Rule and Attwood both make grey water sump packages for this purpose. It is a plastic sump with a couple of inlets and a 500 gph bilge pump with float switch to empty it overboard. The overboard discharge can and should be above water line. I would plumb all of my sinks, shower drains to the sump except for the galley sink. There is too much food and stuff that will clog up the bilge pump or its strainer. Plumb the galley sink straight straight overboard.

Subject: lv-ab: Gray water
I am in the process of gutting the interior of my boat and want to figure out what thru-holes I want to seal off and/or where I will need new thru-holes.
My question is this:
Currently my boat has a thru hole for every gray water drain.
A hole for the shower, a hole for the galley sink, a hole for the head sink, etc.
I think it would make more sense to have all of the gray water run into the bilge to be pumped overboard.
What do you think?
Jeff
