I was originally considering the logistics of a move
to DC area and where to livaboard. The gangplank marina
on the water is DC (advertised in back of livaboard
magazine) is handy but $800 per month and not a
great marina. It is a walk to work from there
however - but y ou are not close to any real
    sailing grounds.

The marina at Deale, MD was the nicest marina I
have ever seen, with tons of facilities, clean and
reasonably priced. Unfortunately you are back to
the commute. If you can be happy listening to
books on tape or other diversions it seemed most
doable and when you would be on your boat you would
have a great location on the Chesapeake.
