RE: lv-ab: Battery "Noodle"

Mike, I had the same problem with a 16 month old battery. The charger would
buzz louder. I didn't know what was causing this until I used the batteries
off the charger. On the inverter under a TV/VCR and CD player load one
battery didn't last 4 hours while it used to last 24 hours. It ended up
being the battery. Once I replaced the battery, the charger wasn't nearly
    as loud.
I did check the wiring before I hauled the battery back to the store. What
a pain these batteries are to get in and out of the boat. Mike

At first look, I'd say you've got a short. Disconnect both batteries
and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, then check the wires
going from the batt. charger to the batteries and find the short. If it
does, hook each of them up on at a time. On or the other should fail in
the same way. I'm surprised something hasn't caught on fire or burned
up. This is interesting. Tell us what the outcome was.

    Jim.
