    Hi...

We are not full time cruisers yet, but we do homeschool our two. Charlotte is
(almost)9 and Kingsley is 7. They are both doing extremely well and have far
surpassed other children thier own age. Seems when you let the kids learn how
they like to learn (vey challenging sometimes) they learn more. I know our two
are complete sponges. We spent 6 weeks cruising last year and intend on more of
the same this year. As soon as we finish our big boat (presently on 26') we are
    going around the world.

We use the Nechacko School District # 98 in BC. Very good and very flexable.
All they require at this point in time is proof that the kids are learning
something. They also provided us with a set of CD's so the kids can be assesed
to where they are grade wise.

http://www.nechacko.com The only catch is you must be a BC resident to take
advantage. With regard to homeschooling while cruising... I believe that an
itinerary and some knowledge is all you need... you know, a guideline as to
what the children should be learning when. Then set your schedule to make that
happen. I don't believe children need to be registered in any school district.
Just another form of gov. control.

    Gotta go build a boat!
    John
