    Hi Jim (you lucky rat),

Some folks get all the fine weather! Sounds like it was a great time!

We got up to the boat for the second time this past weekend, and had rain all
day Sat. (that's ok, we snoozed late, played some backgammon, read, cooked, and
did some work too), then on Sunday it was a glorious day. The ice is starting
to look "punky" with all the rain, the snow is down to 1 ft. or less even!!!
wow! (I know..gotta be there;^) ) We started the work installing the
refrigeration, taking the ice box apart to get at the insulation, and running
wires for the battery bank, etc. Hey,we even got in a small walk. I admit that
my eyes were on the lake the whole time, imagining tacking up through the
island chain, hoping we can get in the water soon enough to go and sail around
the ice floes and chunks, as we have in the past. The sun is so warm we were
out with tee shirts on, so there is definitely a warm up taking place.
Thanks for the sailing report. Gives one hope of a thawing in conditions
    here..

    Cheers!
