Bob,
Yeah, I have a few hours in a Schlicher (sp?) a while back.
The rope that the winches use is a very low stretch rope, and would not be a good
anchor rode, where that kind of line would pull the anchor out or transmit the shock
to the boat. You need that anchor rode to stretch and absorb some of the winds
power.
