        Couldn't agree with you more on the topic of having an anti-virus program running if you interact with the Internet. I can't agree with you choice of McAfee V-Shield, however. I think that all the software reviewers are naming Norton Anti-Virus as the better choice.

        As far as Outlook goes, it's certainly a 'target' for the mentally unbalanced. I'm not so sure that it's all that easily hacked. NetScape is no different - it's just that it's not as widely used and is, therefore, a smaller target.

        As long as we're on the subject, Fred should also consider Zone Alert from Zone Labs as a first-order firewall. Hell, it's free and certainly offers some of the best protection that can be had...

          I can agree with your comments . However Fred should consider adding one more option - VShield virus protection software or the like. Outlook, due to it's design, is fraught with being the easiest program to hack and is usually the first one hit with another worm/virus. Security was not built in and it shows.....
