I think we can all agree to disagree. The issue here is how do we engage in
disagreement? Should it be a civil, productive and articulate dialogue or
shall we just be clumsy, blunt and vulgar. I, for one, am exceedingly weary
of those that mistake rudeness for directness and boldness for
thoughtfulness. And I don't intend to get accustomed to it. I believe that
it is fair and reasonable that we have higher expectations of how people
comport themselves on this list.

I have not seen anyone act like uncivil children. Including both
sides of the recent cops debate.
Deborah's beef is that she disagrees with the statements posted, and
so she chooses to attack them by claiming they should be gagged.
It is clear from her statements that her issue is with seeing
opinions she disagrees with. note: "and they used this word about
someone from our USCG". The implication being that the USCG is above
reproach. A difference of opinion.
Personally, some of the, shall we say, strong ways that people put
things on this list is something I've had to get used to. But I
realize that the cause of this is a combination of widely differing
views, with a greater than typical tendency to express those views
bluntly.
While my feathers have been ruffled on occasion, I welcome it.
