Enough!
Could we please all just regain our sense of humor and get back to boats?
Every list needs at least one curmudgeon, and without Norm and the other
curmudgeons-in-training this particular list would be extremely dull. I'm
all for the occasional sniping, snarling and flare-ups. They keep the list
lively. What I don't enjoy is the predictable holier-than-thou reactions to
these periodic arguments and the subsequent public calls for bumping. The
Coast Guard and other law enforcement groups are Norm's favorite targets. If
the posts offend you, delete them, make a filter, whatever. But please don't
subject the rest of the list to pop-psychological analyses of the parties,
lessons in list etiquette, or calls for petitions. Let those few who are
offended leave the list.
