Does anyone have any experience with Mermaid air systems. I'm looking at a
couple of their units to install in my boat. How is customer service and
technical support? Part availability etc.
On the actual installation. I was considering glassing in a 3/4" marine
plywood shelf into one of the hanging locker and running the water supply
from a thru hull about 20 feet from the unit. The outlet would be less
than 4 feet from the unit. Would there be any problems using a thru hull
that was once used for overboard head discharge if I clean it out?
Revisiting wiring: I've nearly completed the rewiring and added another 30
amp service with paneltronics distribution panel including triple main
breakers and three sub 15 amp breakers. One factor making these breakers
better than the alternative is how well the breaker panels were made. The
buses are insulated and substantial. The neutral wire and hot are sized
#8. The alternative didn't easily allow polarity checking too. This was
far easier than I thought and one of the smoothest boat project. Thanks
again....
