My comment has generated a large response, all irrelevant to its intended
meaning. I repeat more suscinctly:
If you are not a true-blue sailor, or sailing is not an essential part of
your image of the liveaboard life, then many powerboats are better for
living aboard. Powerboaters tend to be less interested than sailors in the
process of "getting there" and more interested in "being there." So their
layouts and amenities reflect that interest.
