Hydrocaps are expensive and have a limited life slowly becoming less and less
effective and should be replaced at yearly intervals, if memory serves.
I rarely see them in the systems described monthly in Home Power.
I have not had a problem with battery gases unless I tugged the tiger's tail
by combining a spark with a charging battery.
If I had a battery in a closed box I would glue a spigot onto each cell cap
and attach plastic hoses to carry the fumes overboard.
