Interesting point. I'm no naval architect but I would think our un-balanced
spade rudder would be under less stress with the stern falling off going
forward as going backwards. Anybody want to balance that against getting
pooped? With only one drain?
Sounds like an argument for maximum holding power - a sea anchor?
