List,
This thread seems to have peaked some interest in 'bag phones'. Questions:
1) Would there be sufficient interest on the list for bag phones? i.e.
10-20+. I may have to acquire a lot of units to get any of them. I just
don't want to be stuck with a pallet load of phones. ;->.
2) What would be a reasonable price range for those interested would be
considering?
I work for a phone company and might have access to older units that were
intalled in autos, etc that are being returned from service as obsolete but
are operatinally ok. That is not to say they may have some scratch and
dents. And some models may have a metal can base unit (sat in the trunks)
and a remote cabled hand set (which of course implies some assembly acquired
;-)).
Not really trying to start a business here but I have seen returns at our
supply depots that probably are scrapped if they are not sold off.
Let me know off list.

Another description of the same thing is the permantly installed cell
phones you see bolted to the console or dash of a car. These are 3 watt
12 volt phones. Perhaps the auto wreckers would be a good source,
because I use to see a lot of used cars sold with these left in for the
new owner to remove and throw away.
