    Pierre,

      Again, not so on Lake Superior. It does freeze all the way across, so that
    people take trips across on snowmobiles and even dog sleds etc. Granted there
    are years where even the bays do not freeze sufficiently to stop the car ferry
    from running until well into January..not true this year..coldest/snowiest
    December on record.
