Thanks for the WEB site info. By the way, I have the Marine Certified
Incinolet model WB and it is USCG Certified as a Class III.
(www.incinolet.com) Works great but is a major power hog when "flushed".

The Lectra/San is USCG approved as a Type I MSD, which means that, after
treatment, the treated waste can be discharged overboard, unless you are in
an area that specifically prohibits it.
A Type III MSD is a holding tank, while Type IIs are usually found on very
large boats.
I've had a Lectra/San ever since moving aboard a year and a half ago. The
system has been a little cranky, but I think that has more to do with the
way
it was installed by the boatyard rather than any innate flaw in the unit.
By the way, a New Jersey Congressman has introduced legislation that would
tighten the requirements for Type I and II MSDs, but would allow them to
discharge even in zero-discharge areas. According to Peggy Hall, the
Lectra/San already meets the stricter requirements.
